Rabbi Menachem and all of Mitziut, you have messed with my mind. I’ve spent decades as a devout atheist on the outside (but seeker within). Then I attended High Holiday services for, oh, the the first or second time in decades. You brought new, evolving relevance to the prayers; a DIY bima brimming with participants; soulful tunes that flat-out JAMMED; and to my delight, meditations rooted in ancient wisdoms most (all) conventional congregations fear and altogether shun. You have threatened my beloved, bitter assumptions. Now what? We shall see; I don’t intend on being a stranger.
